Titbits (1977) “Sex Shop Queen”

MM making a return appearance in Titbits magazine (June 2nd-8th 1977)

Vibrations magazine

A pre-fame, pre-David Sullivan, Mary advertising her services to the amateur photography crowd as a “sexciting young professional model” in the pages of Vibrations magazine (Issue no.10, vol 3). Scan courtesy of RBT Foot.
It would seen that Vibrations publishers must have taken note of the ad as well, and hired Mary for shoots themselves, as she pops up in Vibrations No.1 Vol.5 under the name “Sally Stevens”.

Mary in Titbits (1976)

Small photos of MM used on the cover of/and inside of Titbits magazine (9th December 1976). A picture of her bum was used on the cover of the August 1st 1974 issue of Titbits (promoting Eskimo Nell) but I don’t have a decent scan of that one. (scans courtesy of RBT Foot)

Cinema X Vol.7, No.6 August 1975 “Cinema X-citer: Mary Maxted”

Promoting Erotic Inferno in Cinema X magazine, despite what the article says she doesn’t appear in either The Human Factor or Erotic Eva (which is the ‘new Jack Palance thriller’ referred to in the article), she may however have auditioned for the latter. Other films she unsuccessfully auditioned for were Take an Easy Ride, The Ups and Downs of a Handyman and No.1 of the Secret Service.

Early Photoshoot

An early photoshoot, photos from which popped up in several mags over the years including the “My Wife For Yours” article in Sexpert, and the covers of two issues of Janus magazine (Vol.4 No.7 and Vol.4 No.8, to be precise).
