Frivol No. 40 – extras

As well as the Bohrloch photo-story from Frivol number 40, two further stills from the film have been discovered in that magazine’s contents page. (credit and thanks to ‘mogli63’ for these scans)

Not to be confused with Stephanie Cole

I wonder if veteran actress Stephanie Cole (Tenko, Waiting for God, Doc Martin etc) is aware that she once appeared in a film with Mary in which both of them were uncredited, played traffic wardens and –from the looks of it- shared the same costume – here is the pair of them in Eskimo Nell.

Foxy Lady

This photo dates from around the release of ‘The Playbirds’ in 1978, and photos from the same set were used to promote that film in the likes of Continental Film Review. Oddly then, this photo was published again in the 1990s in a magazine called Fox (Vol.1 No.2) in the process giving Mary a new, years after the fact alias of ‘Little Babs from British Columbia’. Credit to ‘Paddyo’, for this scan.

Mary dubbed into German

Clips from the German version of Keep It Up Downstairs (whose German title translates back into English as ‘Who is Raging in the Underhouse?’).  After watching the second of these clips you’ll know how to say “a bit of hanky panky with a yankee” in german. Now who says these things don’t have any educational value!!

Good Vibrations

A couple of scans from Vibrations magazine :
Mary had a curious relationship with Vibrations magazine, one of her earliest appearances in the magazine is in the contact section of Vol.3, no.10, where she was advertising herself as a “sexciting young professional model” for hire. This appears to have led to her doing a few shoots for the magazine itself, one of which featured her in a red wig, and was used to illustrate their readers letter’s page where she was billed as ‘Sally Stevens’ with the illusion that she was the person answering their letters. Vibrations must have had a lot of photos of her in that red wig, as this feature ran for years and was still being used as late as 1980/81, meaning that ‘Sally’ was still answering letters even after Mary had died. Just to add to the confusion she also did shoots for them without the red wig, which would still be used in the issues that also featured her in Sally Stevens mode, these ‘nurse’ ones are from Vibrations Vol.5, No.12

Sexpert Vol.1 No.6 “Lonely Hearts Club”

Another outing for this shoot, this time in Sexpert magazine, I’ve left out a couple of photos from this piece as I’m sure they’ve been posted here before, but these ones are new here I think. Many thanks to Ffucs for bringing this to the internet.
